For the past week I've been spending time at two underfunded orphages that have been life changing. This picture was taken at Faraja orphanage and these are two of the 16 cildren that live in the facility. Some of these children have been abandoned or left behind by parents with HIV and Aids. So many of these children have nothing. Very simple bunk beds and a classroom the size of a western bathroom. I've fallen in love with so many of these wonderfu children. So many different kind personalities that crave attention and want simple things like eye contact or affection. Yet the children are so happy, with nothing. The caretaker/foster mother of 16 is a beautiful soul and a great teacher. her name is Eliza and she is strict yet patient. I've helpped with just about everything from cleaning chores to helping with English lessons. I'l be sure to post more pics when I have better internet access.
Hi Guys, Guess you two are both on your way to Uganda and the White Nile. Let us hear an update when you get a chance. We want to vicariously enjoy the experiences with you two by reading blog updates. Hope you are able to locate an internet cafe nearby. Love, Big D
