Hello from the Jinja Internet Cafe

Well here I am, off the Nile today because of a nasty ear infection. Other than that Brett and I are doing great here in Uganda. We said farewell to Jorge, our friend Jonny arrived, Brett got over Malaria, we are living in a house with some amazing people, and have been kayaking just about everyday. Today is Brett's 4th day of work with Kayak the Nile, and he's teaching visitors beginning to advanced kayak course. We feel so lucky to be here with so many amazing people and for Brett to work for such an awesome company. Unfortunately I won't be able to post any pictures on the page for two weeks but we'll have loads of pictures soon. We hope everyone is well and we hope you know that all of you are always in our thoughts. Wish we could enjoy a proper Thanksgiving meal with you all. We love you and we hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving. Dad good luck with Christmas Tree sales.... xoxo Katie

Dearest Katie and Brett!!
You probably thought I dropped off the face of the earth, but I'm still here!!!
So very much has happened in our lives this year it's hard to know where to begin. Let me begin by saying CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding!!! Your wedding website was by far the most enjoyable and entertaining to view and follow as your wedding day approached. I wanted to be there to share in the excitement, however, occurrences beyond my control kept me from my plans.I still have a gift to give you for your wedding!!
Now that I think I have finally figured out how to communicate with you on your blog, I will try to do so more often. There is so much I want to share with you that has happened in the past few months... it will take me a while to share it all. But for now, all is well here, same old thing at Fresno State, as I sit looking out the window through the fog! Ron and I, the doggies and Shadow are all well. But much more is going on, and I will share that with you next time...I wanted to make sure my communication to you is working correctly before I continue.
